Schallfeld: projects, maps and report purchases

Schallfeld has no user accounts, advertising or analytics. Modelling and calculation run in your browser. The current project and report purchase recovery copy are stored locally as schallfeld.project.v1 and schallfeld.checkout.v1 until overwritten or until you clear site data. “Save JSON” backs up the project and purchase reference for later loading. Creating a new project does not automatically remove the last purchase recovery copy.

External maps start disabled. Only after selection does the browser request visible images: street maps from the OpenStreetMap Foundation (tile.openstreetmap.org), 2016 satellite imagery from EOX IT Services GmbH (tiles.maps.eox.at), and aerial imagery of North Rhine-Westphalia from Geobasis NRW (www.wms.nrw.de). Providers receive your IP address, the requested map area and the originating domain. Model objects, names and emission data are not transmitted. “Model plan” stops further map requests. Browsers may cache images according to provider cache settings.

The optional report package redirects to Stripe Checkout. We send Stripe a project checksum, language and the fixed price of EUR 2.99, not the project file. Payment and contact details are entered directly with Stripe. See Stripe's privacy policy. Our application stores no card details. Stripe retains payment data under its own retention rules.

Only when exporting PDF or CSV does the browser send the full project and purchase reference to our server. It verifies payment with Stripe and generates the report in memory. Neither the project nor the report is stored there permanently. Project contents and purchase references are not logged. Abuse protection counts requests per IP address in memory; expired counters are removed on the next API request and all counters on server restart. Processing and necessary browser storage support the functions you request.

Privacy Policy

1. Privacy at a Glance

This page explains what happens to personal data when you visit our websites. The controller is Twelve Digital GmbH, Steinheilstr. 19, 80333 Munich, Germany. You can contact us at info@twelve-digital.de.

2. Hosting and Server Log Files

Our websites run on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in its data centre in Nuremberg, as our processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR (processing only in the EU or the EEA). The server processes your IP address to deliver the pages but keeps no access log; the applications log requests for individual files (time, method, address, status) without the IP address. Log entries are deleted after 14 days at the latest. On websites with sign-in by email link (forest.expert), each sign-in request is stored with email address, IP address and browser identifier to limit misuse; these database entries are deleted after 90 days. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Cookies, Advertising and Analytics

Without consent, the websites store in your browser the entries strictly necessary for a function you asked for: your choice in the cookie banner and, if you pick one, your language (local storage), and a session cookie when you sign in to one of our applications (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG). Google AdSense and related advertising technologies, and on some of our websites the analytics service Dash0 (page addresses, load times, errors, a random session ID), are activated only after consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The Dash0 software is then fetched from the public service esm.sh, which receives your IP address. Consent can be withdrawn at any time through the cookie settings.

4. Your Rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability or object to processing under Articles 15–21 GDPR. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
